Since 2016 Telenor Satellite have provided a regional Ka-band VSAT service to maritime users over our THOR 7 satellite from our 1°West orbital location. The service covers the North Sea, North Atlantic/ Norwegian Sea, Baltic Sea, Black Sea and Mediterranean with high quality, proven and reliable maritime connectivity.

Thanks to a new partnership with Newtec, Telenor Satellite have expanded the offering of high throughput services over the Norwegian sea in beams 2 & 3 for ferries, cruise and OSV’s.
Currently available on Anker Ka, the Newtec Dialog® platform allows us to offer services up to 150/50Mbps.

Coverage of the Anker services by Telenor Satellite is provided on the Thor 7 satellite on 1°West. It includes all the main European trading routes and operating areas as well as providing unique northernly coverage.
Anker services are available with profiles ranging from 512/128 Kbps up to 150/50 Mbps, so it covers almost every need and vessel requirement.
