Regional coverage
When considering an investment in a satellite communication solution you should consider carefully where your vessel or vessels are operating both now and in the future.
If you have a fleet of vessels, it may be a good idea to look at the need and sailing area of each individual vessel as opposed to considering the entire fleet as a whole. It is likely that there are vessels that are regional or even local even if your company or fleet is considered Global.
It is generally more expensive to provide a global service than a regional service. Satellites in a global constellation are generally larger, you need a minimum of 3 satellites, and the ground infrastructure can be quite complex. All this adds to the cost of establishing and operating the service, which often translates into more expensive offers to customers.
By choosing a solution with regional coverage, chances are good that we can offer you more bandwidth, higher speed at lower costs compared to a Global solution.
